Omero was born on the 4th April 1942 in Rome, from his father Otello and his mother Elvira, a roman doc family from more than 7 generations. Third of four sons (Maria, Mario, Vanda), his passion for cinema was born since he was a child, following the tracks of his father.

Otello, in fact, was a stuntman and actor and he played several films. His cleverness with horses made him one of best of the trade. To remember his participation like acrobat in the mammoth production "Ben Hur" where he interpreted one of the charioteer engaged in the mythical race with the bigas (photos “behind the scenes”). To such purpose, he was protagonist of a heroic action to have saved various extras, that were in order to be run over by some frightened horses, during shootings. He was awarded a medal for valour.

Omero, therefore, began to follow his father on the sets taking familiarity with the atmosphere. He began his career like "reggista", (in English “regista” is the “director” but my grand-father called him “reggista” meaning “person who look after something” and making a play upon words). His father was amused to call him by this name when someone asked him what was his son role. This simply because, during the pauses among actions, Omero looked after horses.

His passion came out very soon and he embarked a long cinematographic career especially like stuntman. On 1959 he entered upon his career...
